Flemington House

Wurundjeri Country
(In Design)

The family’s brief for Flemington House is to maintain the existing character and “rabbit warren” layout whilst visually opening to the generous backyard, providing better thermal mass to a new living area and removing a dodgy add on.

The existing house has limited access to northern sun, so the extension maximises solar access by pulling away from the northern boundary whilst maintaining the balance of a living area big enough for a family of four. Thickening of the walls provides varied space for seats, libraries, a laundry, second loo and for maximum storage space in what is still a small home.
